not exactly a household name in Attackland (yet ?) , but he's on Brock Otten's top ten list of 'unheralded rookies who could make an impact in the OHL this season" .

He was a really little guy last time I looked but seems to be getting it done, regardless.

It doesn't always translate to the OHL but then again, sometimes it does. I'm a little concrened that a couple of the brightest lights amongst the youngsters are so small.....but some guys can do it. It just seems like we already had guys like that when this manager showed up.....and they were too small then....yet clearly bigger than these guys.

Oh, well...

If a kid comes unexpectedly and scores at all it will be nice.....if he can play a decent defensive game with it.

This player has scored at each level and only been held down by his size if stats are to be believed. Maybe it's time to accept the kid regardless of size?

I hope he makes the team.

The same guy picked Chris Brown prior to 2009, 3G 0A in 53 games a definite unheralded player. 8)

hllywd99...Brown's stat's is the result of 4th line minutes (3-5 minutes per game)

Perhaps your right Trac...I guess my point is 4th line minutes will not produce many points. If Joey played those minutes he certainly would not be a NHL first round pick, In no means I'm suggesting Joey is fourth liner but you get my drift. If J. Wilson or Mignardi were still playing on there old teams would they have put up the points they did with the Attack? Maybe but I some how don't think so.

The wonderful thing about Junior hockey is that each year there will be at least one kid who is an unexpected gem.

Ask yourself honestly.....

If Joey Hishon had 5 minutes a game and 53 games would he still be on any team's fourth line by game 53?

As for putting up numbers with Windsor....
Everybody puts up numbers with Windsor
...and Mignardi always put up numbers with Kingston....he's just getting older and more confident.
I think Mignardi and Wilson would have put up a few with their old teams and probably in the same range, possibly more.

Wilson would be better on a better team and Mignardi would have the same role with Kingston.

I'm not running down Chris Brown at all. Not at all. I'm just saying that from what I've seen Hishon, Wilson, and Mignardi are not the issue.

Watcher, all I'm saying is minutes played produces more opportunity/confidence and points. This is certainly not about Mr. Brown his name was brought up, it could be any of the popcorn eaters or fouth liners.

I don't recall seeing windsor in this post, but since you brought it up, where would Garrett have fit in on that team the last two seasons. I don't have a crystal ball but windsor had the best two lines in the CHL so therefore perhaps third line for Garrett and two Mem cup rings for each hand. I'm sure if you were to ask Garrett would you rather have two mem cups and play 10 -12 minutes a game or 30 -35 minutes a game, playing 1st line PP and PK along with first line duties. My guess would be the later.

Here's and example Brace plays his first game plays on the first line and gets two assits against Sarnia in a 5 -3 win (Attack pack were there) after that they gave him a taste and back on the fourth line, were he should be for a 16 yr old. Doan similiar situation starts on the first line (1g 1a) begining of season after game 3-4 back to the fourth line.

You are on the nail, Hishon, Mignardi and J. Wilson are not the issue very good players that bring different aspects to the team.

What I do know is that we finished 17th in the league, yes in a tough division. with similiar stats on PP & PK. Therefore what was the issue and please don't say Hishon's injury.

Cameron Brace was given 1st line minutes in the Sarnia game in part due to the fact we played with 15 players (total).... I think the number is right??? that is the game that Ship got his hat trick in as well.
