I'm getting more skeptical that there is anything imminent with the Helvig rumour. I suggested him a while back as a baseless hypothetical solution. The recent trade Kingston made for another goalie made it seem like I should buy a lottery ticket, but Helvig continues to carry the load for Kingston. That is not indicative of a goalie who is going anywhere soon. Maybe I'm wrong but the Fonts don't seem concerned with giving Peccia or their new acquisition a dress rehearsal as their starter. The Fonts have been playing better hockey of late. They may re -evaluate their position for this season after a 7-1 drubbing of the top team in the O....BTW with Helvig in net.

Brampton Beast
Goalies GP Mins W L OTL SOL GA GAA SV%
D'Agostini 3 183 2 0 0 1 10 3.28 0.863
McNiven 4 201 0 2 1 0 14 4.19 0.868
Hogberg 3 159 0 3 0 0 14 5.30 0.863

Three goaltenders, each having played three games (McNiven has dressed and played in 4 games). Nothing has really been decided yet. How long do you think they'll do this?

I think McNiven was called up to Laval and Brampton added an emergency back up ? Not sure what the scoop is. Beast have won there last 2 gm's with D'Agostini in net.

Junior hockey is a tough job for a GM. Last year Windsor allegedly offered to trade DiPietro for McNivan. I understand how tough a trade that would have been given the run the Attack were on.

The Beast have carried three goalies since the beginning of the season. With Lindgren up with the Habs while Price is injured/reclaiming his game, it's nice that McNiven has been called to Laval to back up Fucale. Hope he gets some time in the net while he's there to prove his worth. As we all know, Montreal is deep at the position so McNiven has to take each opportunity to prove he belongs (as we all know he can).
