Here are the forward lines I would like to see...

Morin - Skinner - Landeskog
Akeson - D'Amigo - Rieder
Tipoff - Catneacci - Marcantuoni
Crescenzi - tough/big enforcer acquired thru trade - Thomson

Just a few problems.

First, D'Amigo is a Left Winger. It's what he played for the US at the World Juniors and for RPI.
Second, that would mean we'd have three wingers on the second line. Marcantuoni and Catenacci are both natural centres.
Third, Crez is a centre, so that big enforcer would be a winger.

So, maybe something like this?

Morin - Skinner - Landeskog
Akeson - Marcantuoni - Rieder
Tipoff - Catenacci - D'Amigo
Devane - Crescenzi - Thomson

Jamie Devane would be a great add in terms of size, physicality and pugilism.

Oops! I didn't even pay any regard to actual positions!!!!

But yes I like your combinations and I think Devane would be a great addition. That looks like a solid group of forwards!

I personally haven't read / heard one hint that would suggest that D'Amigo will ever come to town. I'll believe it when I see it. I figure we have a better chance of the McRae twins showing up.

I kind of like the idea of Jamie Devane, listed as 6'4" and 212 lb, good size. But hes not really that good of a fighter IMO, That would be his role I guess... and well it beats wasting an O/A spot on Mascioli...seeing how Devane is a 91'.

Havn't seen a thing to indicate D'Amigo is coming to Kitchener. Did I miss something?

I think Zach Lorentz has a chance at making the team as a 4th liner. It will be an interesting main training camp. Some very tough decisions to make.

After looking at Devane's fights on YouTube I think Mas could take him. He seemed to be on the tail end of most battles. Took on the big boys though. Someone mentioned Cat as trade bait. This kid probably stepped up more than anyone on the team other than maybe Skinner in the play offs until he was injured. Can't see him being traded but you never know.

No you haven't missed a thing!
The only way he would come is for him to sign with the Maple Leafs.
But if he did sign would he come here or to the Marlies since Burkie has traded
away 3 or 4 forward prospects.

I wouldn't hold my breath for D'Amigo to show up!

There's a little write up about D'Amigo in the Sun today. Makes note of his blazing speed and the fact that he is becoming physically mature(6', 210 lbs). There is no mention of the Rangers what so ever.
It says D'Amigo is at least two years away from becoming a Leaf. If there is any hope of him showing up here it could come from the fact he says he is working toward being a Leaf as fast as he possibly can.

The OHL is often the fastest route to the NHL so perhaps that leaves the door open just a crack but I wont be holding my breath.
Get well soon Ben.

I am still holding out hope that Jerry D'Amigo makes the RIGHT decision and comes to Kitchener to play with his buddy Jeremy Morin.

Tipoff-Marcantuoni-Thompson
Randell-Crescenzi-Mascioli

Murphy-Jasper

Swap Landeskog and D'Amigo (or just drop D'Amigo, I don't think he's coming) not going to break up Landy, Skins and the Jet.

No way Braun (fringe OHLer) is above Stevens, Mayfield (if he shows) or likely even Dodero. Braun will be #7 or Jr B from all reports I hear.

Otherwise I like it... especially that 4th line. If Mass isn't potting some early in the year though I can see him being dropped/traded and the Rangers working at getting a quality OA d-man or big forward.

Looks pretty good. I can't see having 2 overagers playing on the fourth line though.

There is only 1 overager who they have listed on the fourth line. The other overagers were placed on the second and third lines.

If I remember correctly, Spott has previously been quoted as believing O/A have to be among a teams best players in order to warrant a spot.

Personally, I want to see Mascioli gone, and depending the value of tipoff him as well. I don't believe either of these two players (more so mas) brings anything to the table aside from experience that can't be had in a number of the younger players.

Why not develop a player who has a few years of play left in them instead. That is of course pending a couple young guys step up and claim a spot. Either that or make a trade for a better O/A.

IMO the Rangers NEED a veteran presence on the blueline. Thinking that Jasper has the most OHL experience is not going to cut it. Dalton Prout from Barrie would be a wonderful addition, and is huge to boot.

I think with the moves Spott is making that the Rangers are quite obviously going for it this year. IMHO that should eliminate Mas from being an O/A on this team just, he simply doesnt add enough value to warrant it. However, I think Akeson and Tipoff are two excellent 80+ point guys that would be hard to replace looking at other potential O/A s around the O. Dalton Prout would be high on my list also. Virtually no chance of Moore coming back but I guess we would have to protect him until the deadline? (see Tsmikalis) Would be happy to acquire(not O/A S) Kyle Clifford and Taylor Doherty for some combo of Cat , Randell, Thomson,Cres
