Trading Partners?

If Murray Hiebert wants draft picks coming back in any trade, the options look like this.

Erie doesn't have a 2nd round pick in 2017, 18, 19, 20, or 21. From 2017 to 2021 they have only one 3rd round pick in 2019

Windsor has one 2nd round pick in 2017, but no 3rd round pick that year. They don't have a 2nd or 3rd round pick from 2018 to 2022.

Soo don't have a 2nd from 2017 to 2020. They have 2 second round picks in 2021 and one every year after. They don't have a 3rd round pick in 2017, but do have picks from 2018 to 2023

Owen Sound has two 2nd round picks from 2017 to 2019 and one every year after. They have no 3rd round picks from 2017 to 2020

London has:

2017 one 2nd and three 3rd round picks
2018 two 2nds, two 3rds
2019 three 2nds, two 3rds
2020 two 2nds, one 3rd

This gives you an idea of what he is dealing with.

Increasingly, draft picks are accumulated not to be used, but as currency for the next time the team needs to load up. London has done a better job than the others at this (partly by shedding bit players like Yak and Sherwood, but also by realizing when they aren't going to compete for the Memorial Cup and playing the market then).

Much as I would hate to see Bracco in Green and Gold, they might have the most to offer when it comes to picks. Any deal should include Robert Thomas.
