Memorial Cup ticket prices

Single game tickets:
Games not involving Windsor approximately $85.00 each
Games involving Windsor Approximately $102 each
How to gouge the public.I would imagine the Spits are pressuring local businesses to purchase tickets whether they want to or not.

Wow, the times have changed. In 1984 at the tournament in Kitchener, I paid $85 for the whole package.
So when you adjust for inflation, $85 in todays money would be pretty much 200 bucks even....just to give you an idea of how it's become a bigger business these days.

Agreed, it's not cheap but I recall ticket packages being around $500 for the 2008 cup here so $595 isn't surprising most of a decade later though the primo/restaurant packages @WFCU are way steeper @ $885. Hopefully promo/comp tickets flow into the community last minute vs sitting empty if sales are light. I lucked out in 1984 (thanks Dad) but lots of things like house prices, tuition, concert tickets, etc are quite possibly 10-fold + what they were in 1984. Apple stock (after splits) was $0.45 in 1984 and $14 in 2008 vs $152 today :P

Hi foks!

When we had it here, tickets weren't even sold individually, the packages themselves went for about $450 which works out to $50 a ticket if you include the tie breaking game. The package fee was flat whether the tie breaking game would be required or not (it wasn't in 2008)

I can only imagine how high it will be for London in 2020 :P

All the time teams will guarantee big amounts and fans will pay it and leagues want the money these ticket prices will keep going up. The only thing that will stop this is when a team fails to meet the guarantee and is left trying to find the money. I am guessing here but I wouldn't be surprise if teams in the OHL benefit by about $150,000 from Windsor's Memorial Cup.
