Tyler Boston.....

Strange turn of events with regards to the 18 year old forward.

Guelph Storm General Manager Mike Kelly announced today that forward Tyler Boston has decided to step away from the game for the remainder of the season to concentrate on his academics.

That was on December 29th. Then....on January 4th:

Guelph Storm General Manager Mike Kelly announced today that the Storm have traded the rights to forward Tyler Boston to the Niagara Ice Dogs in exchange for a third round selection in the 2018 OHL Priority Selection as well as two conditional picks (3rd in 2020 and a 4th in 2019).

He is listed on the IceDogs' roster on the OHL site. Take that for what it's worth.

Conditional picks, of course, would probably be determined if he reports and how many games he plays.

Something seems fishy here, but only a couple people know the truth.
Before he went to Niagara I thought he would be regretting walking away for the rest of his life,
so it was probably a smart move to come back. I don't see why Guelph or his parents could not have gotten him a tutor in Guelph.
That's why it looks like he just wanted out.

With Boston gone it does not hurt the team and it gives the younger guys like Stevens, Deakin-Poot more ice time to develop.
