Haven't done one of these in awhile:

SIDE BET TIME!!

As it usually happens, more often than not, a former Knight scores a goal in their return to London.

Kind of like a HOW DO YA LIKE ME NOW?! moment. ;)

We actually have a two-fer.

Should Adrian Carbonara score a goal, I will add $5.00 to my Perry Pledge.
Should Sam Miletic score a goal (which I think he will), I will add $10.00.

Should BOTH of them score a goal, I will add $20.00.

Should neither of them score, I'll still add $5.00.

As for the game, Niagara is sitting atop the Central division - tied with Barrie with 53 points. They didn't really add anyone at the trade deadline - other than Miletic.

Will be interesting to see who starts in net. I would give it to Raaymakers.

3-2 London final!

Liam Foudy and Harrison Cottam score in regulation, and Alex Formenton scores in OT to secure the victory for our Knights!
Matthew Philip and Elijah Roberts reply for the IceDogs.

Well....no goals by Millie or Carbs. Oh well.

It was a GOOD game last night. I'd still be saying that even if the Knights had lost.

Game didn't get started until 7:45. Bad accident on the 401 between Woodstock and Ingersoll (I'm guessing) delayed the IceDogs in getting to the rink.

A close overtime win for London.Wondering how the three stars were awarded since the selection "means nothing" in London?

I honestly couldn't tell you who were selected as the 3 stars. I left before they were announced. That's the level of importance that I place on that particular feature. I leave that to a certain Ranger fan to obsess over.
Because I don't agree with your point, doesn't mean that I "don't get it". The possibility exists that I get it.....but still don't agree.

It really is an obsession. You can see multiple threads started by OA in the Erie forum going back to 2008 about their selections and that's just on the first page. I picture OA running from arena to arena wearing a cape in his never ending crusade to protect the sanctity of the three star selections. Management here indulges/enables him to continue while fans of the game are driven away from the forum.

It is indeed interesting how many London posters continue to post their dislike of me (which isn't the point) and how they have no interest in the three star selections and ,yet, game after game played in London, regardless of the score, we continue to see a mockery of the three stars practically always favouring London players. My question is, why not restore some dignity to the feature? I accept that London fans favour the home players,as is the case in every city, but when selecting the stars of the game most of these cities try to be fair.London stands out as the exception. It distracts from the excellent job the Knights have done in consistently icing a competitive team.

Knighthawk- You only have to go to one arena ! It's funny how you never look at my (and others) central objection. You are only concerned about me. however, I don't select the three stars at london and make a joke of the segment. Maybe you simply can't understand that. After all, some hockey fans might not be the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Hawk and Witch- I wonder what would lead me to believe that the two of you are fans of comic books and comic book characters?
I have decided to leave this topic because I have come to the conclusion that if the Knight management doesn't have the integrity to correct this situation then why bother. Maybe the league will drop the three star segment and simply instruct teams to institute a "player of the game"from each team to do away with this bias .

Until the next game.

BTW, I take great exception to your comment on some fans not being the sharpest knife in the drawer.
I didn't realize you're the know-all and be-all of all of the Ontario Hockey League. My apologies.

Hawk-There you go misquoting me to justify your position. Where did I say that " I was a know it all"or allude to my intelligence ? You really have difficulty taking a position based on facts . You're fixated on countering what I say by stating ,over and over, that you don't like me . What the h... does that have to do with my contention that in London home games that whoever selects the three stars, more often than not , regardless of the outcome of the game, makes a mockery of the tradition by being overly biased in favour of London players in practically every game. I know, you don't like me.

You know...you are right. I likely said that out of frustration.

Sorry about that.

And, for the record, I do like you. :)
